The outside temperature was 42 degrees. The water temperature was 38. That didn’t stop Linda Welty, STS employee from the National Benefits Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, from braving the frigid waters. Along with a generous donation from STS and teammate sponsors at the NBC, there was a total of $249,134 dollars raised for the Special Olympics in the Kansas City area.
