Quality Assurance

STS is ISO 9001:2015 certified small business. The ISO 9001:2015 standard outlines a process approach to implementing and supporting a Quality Management System (QMS). As a result, there is increased involvement of top management that is engaged in setting and adhering to the STS Quality Policy and Quality Goals and Objectives.


STS embraces a corporate quality structure that is applied to all STS program and task activities. Quality Management will be accomplished through the consistent and continuous implementation of a Team STS Quality Control Plan. The Team STS Quality Control Plan will be structured to complement the SeaPort-e Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP), which the Government will use to assess our Task Order performance.


Our Plan will employ numerous processes and tools for tracking key task actions and deliverables, initial and recurring personnel training in key processes, monthly and periodic management meeting emphasis on quality, frequent customer feedback sessions, and Monthly Program Status Reports (MPSRs). STS’ approach to meeting and exceeding the threshold for each aspect of quality management embraces Continuous Process Improvement (CPI).


CPI is a foundation of STS’s corporate quality structure and encourages each employee to continuously identify new options for performing their jobs more efficiently, more effectively and more economically. Customer focus allows us to define and refine the components of every task by looking at steps in each process that add value to our product; it also ensures that our programs and products meet or exceed customer requirements.
